Mud Resort Architecture

Project Description

The architecture draws inspiration from the earthy character of Uttarakhand, using mud-toned walls, locally inspired stonework, timber elements, soft organic forms, and abundant vegetation to create a built environment that feels rooted rather than imposed.

The entrance establishes the project’s architectural language — a warm earthen façade paired with a handcrafted stone wall and a vertical timber gate. Subtle circular forms and natural textures add a sense of craftsmanship, while the surrounding greenery allows the architecture to gradually merge with its landscape.

Design inspiration

Rather than creating a conventional resort experience, the design explores architecture as an extension of nature — where shaded transitions, courtyards, framed views, tactile surfaces and planted spaces encourage guests to slow down and reconnect with their surroundings.

To The Perch is our exploration of what contemporary hospitality can feel like when it is earthy, immersive and deeply connected to its place.
